Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): The Sainik School Punglwa held in its XIth Annual Sports Meet with various sports and athletics events activities as well other events on December 8. Namri Nchang, Adviser for Water Resources Dept, Government of Nagaland graced the occasion.
The cadets performed colourful Mass PT, rhythmic Aerobics, innovative Bamboo Exercise, skilful Tableau Display and a well balanced Gymnastic Display, a press note informed. It was followed by Inter House Athletics Events such as 100m, 200m, 400m and 4x100 relay.
In 100m dash, Pranav Chandra topped the race with a timing of 0:12: 25 seconds and in 200m, Pauku Meru finished first with a timing of 0:29:35 seconds.
Tug of War and Musical Chair games were also organised for the parents of the cadets.
The event also witnessed Ao Naga Dance performed by Mindblowers Cultural Club, Dimapur while School Band, different clubs of the school like Archery Club, Cycling Club and Rifle Shooting Club sparked up the day with diverse talents and skills demonstration.
Patkai House lifted the champion trophy of the XITH Annual Sports Meet 2018. The Advisor presented the medals, certificates and trophy to the winners.
Earlier, the meet began with the Principal, Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar welcoming the esteemed guests, dignitaries and gathering followed by lighting of the lamp and release of school’s ‘half yearly magazine ‘VYWOM’ by the Advisor.
