SAMETI organises trainers training

Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) Nagaland conducted three days training programme on “Conservation Agriculture for Sustainability” for ATMA functionaries from February 16 to 18 at SAMETI hall Medziphema where 22 participants attended the meeting.  

The resource persons, Dr. Lanunola Tzudir, Assistant Professor Department of Agronomy SASRD NU, Dr. Debika N, Assistant Professor and Dr. L. Tongpang, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Agronomy imparted training to the trainees on the topic dealing with crop residue management, soil management and sustainable agriculture, resource conservation respectively.   Nguzonyi Wetsah, Director SAMETI addressed the valedictory function. The Director encouraged the trainers to impart same topic of the training to the farmer community at district and block level as they go back.   The programme was chaired by Tiajungla Longchar, DPD and vote of thanks was pronounced by Sentinaro Longchar, DPD.
