Sangtam Union Longleng celebrates Mungmung festival

Longleng, September 5 (MExN): Sangtam Union Longleng celebrated its 2nd Mungmung festival with gaiety at DC’s Residence Longleng. The event was hosted by John Tsulise Sangtam, Deputy Commissioner Longleng.   According to a DIPR report, in his short speech, he welcomed the dignitaries, in-laws and special invitees. Sangtam also dwelled on the importance of the festival in bringing the people together.  

Man folk of Sangtam community presented “Longmi Khi”, a traditional folk song. Ethnic fusion song was also presented by the In-laws. Later in the programme Akhaba Sangtam, GM DIC Longleng highlighted the significance of MungMung. The programme was attended by Phom Peoples’ Council, Phomla Hoichem, Head of Departments, Phom Students’ Conference, Dobashis, Chairman and Head GB of Neighbouring villages, Pastors from different Churches, Executive Secretary of PBCA, Public Leaders and other well-wisher. The MungMung Feast was graced by Fr. Charles of St. Joseph Secondary School Longleng.
