SASA conducts referee coaching camp

Dimapur, October 20 (MExN): The Sekrüzu Area Sports Association (SASA) conducted a two-day Referee Coach Camp from on October 18- 19 at Sekrüzu Town. A total of 27 referee trainees from nine villages, including SASA officials, attended the camp.  

A press release SASA president Veshosa Keyho informed that coaches from Nagaland Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports comprising of Achila, basketball coach; Ruokuovituo Aba, football coach; and Sentiyangba, volleyball coach imparted both theory class and practical session to all the attendees.  

All the villages were represented by 3 referee trainees with their choice of discipline and interest, it said.  

“The trainees will go back to their home villages and will again impart their knowledge learned to other referees in the village level sports,” it added.  

Meanwhile, SASA’s 37th Tournament is tentatively slated from January 2-9, 2019.  

The president, through the release, also expressed appreciation to the Director Youth Resources and Sports for giving SASA the opportunity to receive the Training.
