SCHE Bosco Club visits district jail

Bosco Club of Salesian College of Higher Education team with Dimapur district jail officials during their visit on September 2. Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): With the purpose of sharing values and spreading joys of life, the Bosco Club of Salesian College of Higher Education visited Dimapur district jail on September 2. A contingent of 17 students under the coordination of Dominic Ralte, Asst. Professor, conducted a value based programme for the inmates of the district jail for an hour and half at the jail hall. The programme comprised of a prayer service, sharing the Word of God, inspirational video clips and entertaining items. Mhonbeni Patton, chaplain of the prison welcomed the college contingent. Sharing the word of God, Probin Kullu exhorted all to sense the divine in everything and highlighted the urgency of righting wrongs in the society with firm determination and great courage. Thereafter, the inmates were entertained by the students through dance, action songs and a choral piece. A motivational clip which invited the viewers to realize their identity as human beings and thus consider their fellow human beings in their daily living was also shown. It concluded with a prayer.
