A delegation of five scholars and a professor from Sirnakharinwirot University Bangkok, Thailand reached Mokokchung on January 22. The delegation has been invited to Mokokchung to interact with civil society organizations, Ao villages and alike for familiarization socio-cultural and traditional system of the Ao Naga. 


On the day of their arrival, the delegation has an interaction session with members of Watsü Mungdang and members of Mokokchung Press Club at the Commissioner’s Guest House, Mokokchung.


The delegation is headed by Veera Phansue, Asst Prof and Project Director, Department of Thai and ASIAN Music, faculty of Fine Arts at Sirnakharinwirot University Bangkok, Thailand. The delegation consists of four fine arts and music students from the university. 


The delegation is also accompanied by two members from Tai Ahom Student’s Union, Rajib Borgahain, Advisor and Manash Protim Chetia, TWC National Co-ordinator to India.


The team will be visiting Ungma, Mokokchung and Mopungchuket villages and Impur Mission centre during their three days stay at Mokokchung.
