1. Category: Research Based

 

Scholarship: Nagaland State Research Fellowship 2018-19

 

Description: Department of Higher Education, Nagaland State Government is providing scholarship to tribes and indigenous category to pursue doctoral program, to ensure economic welfare and empowerment of students.

 

Eligibility: The scholarships are available only for scheduled tribe and indigenous category of Nagaland, pursuing M.Phil. or Ph.D. from any recognized university in India.

 

Prizes & Rewards: Varying monetary aid is offered based on the status corpus of the Nagaland Government.

2.Category: Means and Merit based

 

Scholarship: Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities) 2018-19

 

Description: The scholarship is financially backing students from minority community i.e. Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians or Parsis, who are undertaking graduation or post-graduation in any technical or professional field from a recognized institution.

 

Eligibility: Students, who got admission by clearing competitive entrance exam or in case of direct admission, must have scored minimum 50% in class 12 or graduation with family income not more than INR 2.50 Lacs. 50% marks in the previous final examination is mandatory.

 

Prizes & Rewards: Hostellers and day scholars will be rewarded with INR 20,000 p.a. for course or actual (whichever is less) and monthly maintenance allowance of INR 1000 to hostellers and INR 500 to day scholars will be provided for 10 months in an academic year.

3.Category: Means Based

 

Scholarship: Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2018-19

 

Description: Students suffering from physical disabilities are provided with economic aid by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Government of India to provide them with a financial base, which will help them continue with hassle free education.

 

Eligibility: Students of class 9 or 10, who are suffering from more than 40% disability with a valid certificate for the same and having annual family income not more than INR 2.50 Lacs, are considered eligible.

 

Prizes & Rewards: Maintenance allowance of INR 800 and INR 500 (per month) will be given to Hostellers and Day Scholars, respectively, for a period of 12 months in an academic year; book grant of INR 1000 p.a. will be given to hostellers and days scholars. Annual disability allowance of INR 4000 to visually impaired, and for Intellectual disability; INR 2000 to hearing impaired, physically disabled and for all other types of disability will be provided annually.
