Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): The Annual Sports and Games of SD Jain Higher Secondary School Dimapur got underway at the DDSC Stadium, Golaghat Road, Dimapur on April 25 with Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Dimapur, as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, the chief guest also launched the website of the school, developed by the IT Team NIIT. In his address, Ranjan pointed to the significance of sports and asked the school to provide students with every possible opportunity to venture into the world of knowledge by way of opening new avenues of modern technology for them. Later he declared the sports and games week of the school open. The Chief Guest along with other dignitaries lighted a symbolic replica of the Olympic Torch. Other highlights of the Opening Ceremony were March Past, Oath taking and dance performance by the students. The event will conclude on April 27.
