A combined force of police commando unit of Manipur police and the Army on Friday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during an operation in a village in Bishnupur district bordering Noney district on October 4. During the search operation, the security forces recovered five 7.52 self-loading rifles, one Chinese hand grenade, one AK magazine, 172 rounds of 7.62 mm of AK and many others. The recovered arms and ammunition were later handed over to Bishnupur police station where a case was registered for further investigation, the police added.
