'Severest punishment' demanded for bank manager

Tseminyu, May 28 (MExN): Tseminyu Traders’ Union (TTU) and Tseminyu Youth Organization (TYO) have demanded “severest punishment” for the Branch Manager of Vijaya Bank, Tseminyu Town, who has been arrested recently for fraud.   In a press release, the two organizations stated that the act of the accused identified as Yichanpemo Yanthan Lotha has damaged the image of the sub-division, the bank across the State as well as the town in particular.  

Informing that the Vijaya Bank branch was set up only seven months ago, the organizations questioned how within such short period of time, the Branch Manager dared to draw public money by “forging their signature and opening fake account of Business Loan, Personal Loan, Vehicle Loan and also drawing money against Customer Fixed Deposit all on forging against Fixed Deposit.”

The bank, the release said, was set up in view of the utmost need of the public.  

Condemning the act of the Branch Manager, TTU President, Yhuntilo Kent and TYO President, Njulo Tep in the release asked the high authority of the bank not to deploy such person to the sub-division in the days to come. The organizations further asked the branch to immediately refund the money of the customers drawn by forging their signature.
