DPM NERLP, Ruuvilie Kuotsü, Dr Tinojongshi, ADC Jalukie and others during the inauguration of the Village Federation at Punglwa ‘B’on September 1
Peren, September 1 (MExN): The SHG Village Federation of Punglwa ‘B’ was inaugurated by Dr Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, ADC, Jalukie on September 1.The project was supported by North East Rural Livelihood Project under ministry of DoNER Government of India funded by World Bank, a release here informed. The total cost of the project is Rs 9,73,200.
On the occasion, DPM NERLP, Ruuvilie Kuotsü briefed the villagers about the various activities taken up by NERLP across the district and exemplary works taking place in other villages.
He also apprised the gathering that out of the five approved market sheds under value chain component, Punglwa ‘B’ is the second village to have completed the activity in the stipulated time. He reminded the villagers that over 14 crores were spent for the project across the districts.
He also asked the community to have a maintenance plan and utilize the asset judiciously.
Dr Tinojongshi, ADC Jalukie lauded the various activities NERLP is carrying out both in Peren and Tuensang. He shared the experiences he had seen in other districts and encouraged the villagers to continue to be productive and sustain themselves. He also mentioned that the state highway crossing Punglwa ‘B’ is the only route connecting Peren from other districts, hence is confident that the market shed will flourish and the income of the villagers will be enhanced.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Paisuibale, SHGVF Secy and welcome address was proposed by Heiseilule.
