Since 90’s wins NSACS Multimedia Campaign 2017
Since 90’s band members receive the NSACS Multimedia Campaign 2017 award on December 1.

 

The band Since 90’s from Dimapur was declared winner of the NSACS Multimedia Campaign 2017 held at The Heritage in Kohima on December 1. The band walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh.

 

Meanwhile, Pay The Rent from Kohima and Trance Effect from Dimapur were adjudged the first runner up and second runner up respectively. The two bands were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 50,000 respectively.

 

Other prizes included Best Vocalist, which was bagged by Fifth Note, Best Guitarist by Trance Effect, Best Bassist by Pay The Rent, Best Drummer by Since 90’s, and Best original song by Tune Up Channel.

 

Altogether, 12 bands had competed in the State level band competition which was held under the theme ‘Life Now, Yes Life, No HIV.’

 

The Multimedia Campaign was organised with a view to create awareness on HIV through music.

 

Commissioner and Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, N. Ramakhrishnan (IAS), who spoke at the event, impressed upon the gathering to treat people living with HIV with love and affection. “This is one life. We have to enjoy and live this life happily,” he said. He urged upon the youth population to spread awareness on HIV.
