Except few technical snags at some polling stations within Dimapur Town causing ignorable delays, the polling was "peaceful" in all the polling stations under 1 Dimapur – I and 2 Dimapur – II Assembly Constituencies.

At Ward no 6 and 8 under 1 Dimapur – I A/C, the polling officials reported technical snags with the VVPAT and EVM even after mock polls were conducted. However, the issue was fixed and polling resumed normally.

At Chatteswari Colony, Polling Station no 37, one voter standing in queue collapsed and was immediately taken for medical emergency. Officials said it was a case of epilepsy.

Hours before the polling ended, voting at Ward no 8 was disrupted for some time owing to voters’ slip and identity issues, but the polling resumed after the issue was sorted out with the polling officials.

At the scene, one Nagaland police personnel was seen checking voter’s slips of those in queue and making markings on the slip. Later, the polling officials said the police were not authorised to check or make any rectifications on the voter’s slip.
