Khaghaboto Area Students' Union 42nd general conference concludes
Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The three days 42nd general conference of Khaghaboto Area Students' Union (KASU) held at L. Hotovi Village with the theme 'Utilitarian Knowledge' concluded on January 14.
A press note received here stated that Z. Kasheto Yeptho, Class-I Contractor graced the valedictory session as guest of honour where he reminded the students that they are the future and the backbone of the society and thus society needs a resolved generation of youth, who will be the leaders of tomorrow to build a progressive society without corruption which has badly infested our society.
Stating that every individual has obligation to contribute towards wellbeing of the society, Kasheto said youth who makes up the major population have greater responsibility in shaping the future of the society and education is the most important tool with which the society can be transformed. He therefore encouraged the students to focus on attaining the best of education making proper use of the information of choice they have at their fingertips through internet which has made the world a global village.
He also reminded the students never to allow pride to overwhelm them as it is one that leads to downfall in life but to remain humble firstly before God and and to be sincere and dedicated in anything they may do in life.
Encouraging the students to be committed to their studies, he announced to give a cash award of Rs. 50,000 to a student under KASU who will top HSLC examinations 2018 and Rs. One lakh to the one who tops competitive exams in 2018.On moral values of life, guest of honour said an individual is respected and regarded basing on one's behaviour and character and thus urged the students to imbibe in them a good and strong morality which will help them even on the way leading to success.
