Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The farewell programme of T. Nungsang Ao, Commissioner & Secretary, Soil & Water Conservation Department was held on November 30 at Hotel Japfü.
A press release received here stated that Bendangnaro, Additional Secretary read out the bio data of T. Nungsang Ao, from the first time he was posted as an NCS officer in 1983 to working in various capacities and places around the State. She described the outgoing Commissioner & Secretary as very humble, straightforward, always free to approach and an able administrator and gentleman.
Short speeches were given by the Director, Soil & Water Conservation, S.N Singh and Rongsenlemzung, Deputy Director.
The retiring commissioner & Secretary in his speech thanked God for his life and for the blessings he has been bestowed upon all through his service. He expressed joy and satisfaction for all the blessings and associations he has had with a myriad of people and places all around the State.
He also thanked the Adviser, Soil & Water Conservation & NSDMA, Pukhai Assumi for his concern and for taking up a host of initiatives for the general good of the Department. He further urged upon the officers and staffs to be unified, cooperative and disciplined and to do away with negative attitudes so as to let the Department grow in the right perspective.
