Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): The Dimapur Police, Special Operation Team (SOT) on May 26, arrested Lapu Konyak (20 yrs) a resident of Purana Bazar, Dimapur for illegal extortion of money Sand laden Trucks at New Field Check gate. A press statement from Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur stated that an amount of Rs 10,000 was recovered from his possession. On the same day, the SOT on receipt of specific information arrested one Khetoka Aye (26 yrsfor collecting illegal tax from truck drivers plying at Dellai Check gate area. Cash amounting to Rs. 15,810 was seized from his possession. Both the cases are registered at West Police Station Dimapur and investigation is on.
