SRD exposes advanced tribes attitude

•-On the whole, I feel the SRD policy of the Govt. was not a failure altogether because it has served as an opinion poll to know the tolerance aspect and attitude of the advanced tribe people towards the Eastern Nagas. In the real sense, the advanced tribes do not want us to come at par with them as they have been conditioned by being served by us as domestic helpers in their homes and not above the level of dak runner, peon, drivers, body guard, home guard, (fourth grade jobs) or lower dealing assistant in the office. They are intimidated by a slight stride we make.
My tribe Phom has in all 6 NCS male officers and 3 NPS officers with one lady only. I know all of them by name and in which year they passed the NPSC exams. The advantage of being an advance tribe is you can get appointed to any post  through manipulation by your HOD father or mother or relatives and for that matter without facing a single recruitment board. Thus, Nagaland Govt. is mushroomed with the advanced tribe officers. Eastern Nagas are sparsely employed in Govt. sector with 17% only because we get only those posts requisitioned to NPSC in BT quota with BT label.
A disparity in government employment will somehow subside if our 20 MLAs coalesced and make effort to requisition all the vacant posts for open competitive examinations and urge the Department concerned to implement the 25 % Reservation for 6 tribes of ENPO area in letter and spirit.
