St. John College valedictory prog

Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): St. John College, Dimapur valedictory programme was held with Sushil Kumar Patel, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur as the chief guest on March 23.  

The DC gave a brief introduction about his own childhood and the obstacles he overcame to achieve academic brilliance. He encouraged the students to be the best in whichever field they choose by proper planning and continuous effort to succeed. He asked the students to achieve their dreams by fighting their fears, continuously updating oneself and never procrastinating, to learn and rebound from failure, and that, college is the best platform to achieve one’s dream.  

Zehovire Kechu, an outgoing student who is also the Dimapur district icon for Clean Election campaign also spoke during the programme.  

The College also held a felicitation programme where exemplary students were awarded by the administration. Three best students (one from Arts stream and two from science stream) were handed certificates and trophies by the chief guest. The outgoing student’s council members were also felicitated by the present student council. On behalf of students a farewell speech was given by Iriatelie Pame of B. Sc 4th semester. Vote of thanks was given by Aosangla, Cultural and Social secretary, which was followed by lunch and photo session.
