St. Joseph Chumu inaugurates academic session

Dimapur, January 28 (MExN): St. Joseph School, Chumukedima inaugurated its academic year 2011 with Rev. Fr. Carolus Neisalhou Kuotsu, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kohima as chief guest.
A press release issued by the school stated that while addressing the students and teachers, the chief guest invited the students to have a clear cut vision by quoting the words of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. He also encouraged the students to achieve better academic feat in this coming year 2011. The programme was well attended by Sylvester and Amongla, the representatives of the School Management Board Members and Atha Luho, the Parent Representative cum VDB Secretary, Chumukedima. They along with the chief guest inaugurated the academic year by lighting the lamp as a sign of enlightening the hearts and mind of the young children.
Earlier Rev. Fr. Sabu Chenackal, Principal, St. Joseph School welcomed everyone and expressed his hope that the symbolic ceremony would keep the spirit going throughout the academic year to achieve something significant for the good of the children. The programme also witnessed the well prepared special numbers presented by the students. The Bible reading was read by Sr. Sandraline, and Awele conducted the ceremony, while Rev. Fr. Loyola Antony, Vice-Principal proposed the vote of thanks.
