St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama’s 7th Convergence Fest concludes

Kohima, September 28 (MExN): The Department of Business Administration, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama organized the 7th Convergence Fest on September 22 and 23 with the theme ‘Innovate, Integrate, Inspire.’  

A press release issued by the Publicity Committee, Department of Business Administration, SJC stated that the main objective of the Convergence Fest was to provide opportunities to the zealous students in the State and to showcase their talents and skills in order to realize their hidden potentials. Recognizing the State’s need for more self-reliant and independent students, the Convergence Fest was organized to prepare and promote the students, it stated.  

Colo Mero, Director of Life Sports and Social Entrepreneur, graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest. He encouraged the young students to get enlightened from others’ achievement. “The size of the job doesn’t matter as long as a person loves what he/she does,” he added. He asserted that to be successful one should believe in oneself and be diligent in their duties.  

Six colleges and eight departments from the host college participated in the Fest. The participating colleges were Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Dimapur Government College, Japfü Christian College, Don Bosco College Kohima, Sazolie College and Capital College.  

The participants competed in Business Plan, Mad Advertisement, Debate, Business Quiz, Extempore, etc. The Kohima Science College (Autonomous) was adjudged the overall champion and Dimapur Government College was awarded the Best Discipline Team.  

The special guests and panel of judges included Akho Yeptho, Zack Swuro, and Anung Mocha from Elemenz, Modouvina Mocha, K. Cynthia Kolakhe, Ameu Usou Zao, Akhrieno Zao, Iris Odyuo, Anini (YouthNet), Medo Kense (YouthNet), Jonny D’ascolie (Grooming Partner).
