St. Mary’s Cathedral Hr Sec School turns digital

Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): On National Technology Day, May 11, St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School, Lerie, Kohima inaugurated the digitalized classrooms.  

The function was graced by Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima in the presence of Fathers, Sisters, parents, teachers and students.  

Conveying his message through the school App, the Bishop congratulated the principal, staffs, students and parents for the “yeoman” achievement.   He expressed that digitalization of the school system was a mark of cooperation the Catholic Church in Nagaland envisages in its vision of imparting quality learning to students of all Catholic schools, a press release stated.  

The digital system of the school will cater to online classes, connect parents through website, enable the use of school app and provide digitally animated textbooks, recorded videos, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, digital library and digital books for the students.  

During the occasion, the School Management Board led by FP Solo lit the digital candles while digital tools and digital books were handed over to all teaching faculties and LKG students by the school administration board.  

The occasion was fully managed by LKG students of the school. They assembled the computer system for the inauguration as well as invited guests for the occasion.
