Startup Nagaland Boot Camp second phase held

Phek, August 17 (MExN): The second phase of the Startup Nagaland Boot Camp was organized at PTC Hall Phek Town by the Department of Industries & Commerce as part of the implementation of the Nagaland Startup Policy 2019 and in compliance with the Startup India Ranking Framework 2019 of the Ministry of Commerce & Industries, GoI. 


The event was attended by students from various colleges and entrepreneurs from Phek District. Kowe Ritse, Toyi Swuro and Sapalu Venuh won the first, second and third position respectively during the Phek Startup Nagaland Boot Camp. The boot camp panel of judges was T. Lemlila Sangtam, SDO (C) Phek HQ and Chetezo Akami, GS PCCI.


In the closing remark, SDO (C) Tuensang, Lemlila Sangtam appreciated the initiative of Startup Nagaland by the Department and encouraged the participants to take up entrepreneurship seriously. She reminded that our State is still at infancy when it comes to the concept of startups, and in order to achieve positive results and outcomes she emphasized on the need the joint efforts of all the stakeholders in this sector.


The programme was chaired by Temjenmeren, FM SDIC Meluri. The introduction of the Startup Nagaland Initiative and an ideation workshop was conducted by Kuko Nuh, Nagaland Startup Team Member. Chikuotho Nyusou, FM DIC Chozouba spoke on entrepreneurship development. A motivational talk was given by Chetezo Akami, General Secretary, PCCI. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Chubamaong, GM DIC Chozouba.
