Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): The Nagaland state boys’ team will be participating at the 44th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship at Didwana, Nagaur District, Rajasthan which will be held from October 8 to 14. Teams from more than 25 states and union territories are expected to compete at the event which is being organised by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in association with Rajasthan Basketball Association, a press release the Nagaland Basketball Association informed. In this connection, a month long coaching-cum-selection trial is underway in the state capital Kohima for players in the sub-junior category. A team of 12 players along with team officials led by Team Manager, John Dzüvichü and team coaches, Keluongutuo Suokhrie and Medohu Rutsa will represent the State in the tournament. The Nagaland Basketball Association, under the aegis of the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, is putting in all efforts for successful participation of the state team at this National event, the release added.
