State chess players looted

Dimapur, June 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Chess Association is participating at the 49th National Chess Challenger 2011 at Aurangabad Maharastra. However, on the fifth day of the tournament, June 22, some unidentified persons broke the lock of the room and stole items worth Rs.1,40,000.
The items that were stolen – Two lap-tops costing Rs. 90,000/-, three cell phones @ Rs. 7000/- to 12,000/-, one digital camera (Canon) Rs. 10,000/-, one internet modem Rs. 4500/-, six train tickets, Aurangabad-mumbai-Kokatta-Dimapur. (Apprx Rs. 9000/- Sleeper class) and coins, approximately of Rs. 40 to 50 - denomination ranging from Re 1 to Rs 5 “(Saved to give to the beggars during the Train journey)”
A press note received here issued by Mughaho Awomi, Mengise Haikam, Tokuho, Melesayi and Kevilekho stated that the incident happened when they were out for lunch between 12:00 - 12:40 noon at MIT girls hostel. The number of the Room where they were lodged is No. 336. “We are made to stay at the MIT boys’ hostel arranged by the organizers.”
Also, it was mentioned in the note that they had reported the incident to the Organizing secretary but he did not take the case seriously so we lodged the FIR to the Osmanpura Police Station at Aurangabad. The police is now seriously behind the culprit / thief but could not find any clue.
