Students contribute towards Chief Ministers Relief Fund

Kohima, August 8 (MExN): Recipients of the Rajya Puraskar Award of the Bharat Scouts & Guides and young school students voluntarily contributed form their allowance towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund amounting to Rs. 12,025/ during the Award Ceremony at Raj Bhavan Kohima on August 7.  

Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya had made an appeal to all present at the function to contribute a small amount towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in aid of the people affected due to incessant rainfall for the last few weeks resulting in major disaster.  

The Governor opined that the people of the State should stand in solidarity with the distressed affected people in the State and be part of the effort to support them in any way during this hour of crisis.  

Accordingly, all those present in the award ceremony, led by Governor Acharya, Advisor Youth Resources & Sports Er Zale Neikha, Government Officials, representatives of institutions, parents, Scouts & Guides and students made contributions towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
