Students told to adapt to changing times Immanuel College celebrates silver jubilee

Pointing out that the society was going through challenging times which would not wait for anyone, the student community have been urged to adapt to the changing times and decide wisely about what they choose to become in future.


Addressing the silver jubilee celebration of Immanuel College, Dimapur at its premises as the special guest on November 14, Principal Secretary for School Education and SCERT, Menukhol John told the college students that they were at a threshold of deciding what to become in the next few years.


In this connection, he urged the students to take one step at a time with consistency and perseverance and face the challenges wisely and bravely instead of thinking to start from the top of the ladder. Menukhol also encouraged the students to live a healthy lifestyle.


He lauded the teaching faculty of the college for producing gold medallists and other bright students. 


Earlier, Menukhol unveiled the jubilee monolith for which Rev Kilang Jamir, Youth Harvest Ministry pronounced the dedicatory prayer. Rev Kilang also dedicated the memento and souvenir of the jubilee.


A host of dignitaries including Dr. A. Loso Chalai, Chairman, Governing Body; Sashimenla, Vice President, Parent Teacher Association; B. Nellayappan, Assistant Director, School Education; Lengrijan Village Council representative; Moses Newmai, Alumni Association and others spoke during the programme. Neibalie Rio, Special Officer to the Chief Minister also spoke on behalf of the first batch of the college.
