Minister Neiba Kronu addresses 71st general conference of Chakhesang Students’ Union

Commenting on Naga Political Issue, Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu today said “We are hoping for better solution.”


Speaking at the second day of 71st general conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) in coinciding with platinum jubilee of Pfutseromi Students’ Union (PSU) at Pfutseromi village under the theme “Fostering unity in diversity,” the Minister said that every country have their own problem. “But they continue to do what they are supposed to do. Because of the problem, are you not getting time to study?” I don’t think so,” Kronu said.


In this, he called upon the students to study hard, saying that academic life is the most important chapter in one’s life. He said that this generation are lucky lot of people as one can learn what they need to learn and can now get knowledge from any parts of the world.


The Minister reminded the students that there is no shortcut to success. “Don’t worry about the job. Job is available in any part of the world,” the Minister said and told the students that they need not search job within Nagaland only.


Stating that the company and the business houses look for the best among the best only, he called upon the youth to be sincere, honest and work hard to fit into any job in any part of the world. “Let us not only think of getting only government job. Government will not be able to provide job to all the people,” he said.


Stating that he have never seen any country or any nation without having a civic sense, he called upon the students to adopt positive attitude and show to the world that “we are hard working people, we respect each other and we have discipline.” He also asked the students to take the right decision and struggle to excel in life.


On onset of New Year 2020, he said “If you have not done something well last year, pray to God to guide you. If you have done something very good last year, then try to do better this year.”


Kronu also asked the students to use mobile phone well its purpose. “Do not let mobile phone control you,” he cautioned.


Earlier, Mikha Kenye, president Chakhesang Public Organization and representative from Naga Students’ Federation shared greetings.


Deo Nukhu, ex- president CSU highlighted the history of the CSU while CSU president Lavoto Chizo delivered presidential address.


Keynote address was delivered by Central Organizing Committee convenor Wepe Mekrisuh.


Later, Dr. Velii-o Shijo, additional director SIRD, Nagaland graced the cultural regale. Huska Yepthomi, ex-president Siimi Hoho also delivered short speech.


Theme session also marked day two event with Theja Therieh, president Chakhesang Hoho, Kohima as speaker. Interaction on Chakhesang’s stand on Indo-Naga political talk” also took place with Timikha Koza, president Tenyimi People’s Organization as the resource person.
