Maj. Mahesh giving away the prizes to the winners of various competitions closing ceremony of the fortnight-long Hindi Pakhwada programme at JNV Tuensang on September 14.

 

Tuensang, September 16 (MExN): JNV Tuensang celebrated the closing ceremony of the fortnight-long Hindi Pakhwada programme at its campus on September 14 with Major Mahesh, commandant, 5th Assam Rifles, Chare, Tuensang as the chief guest.

 

The school informed in a press release that the Hindi Pakhwada celebration was marked by various competitions among the different houses through the fortnight to instil among the students the love for Hindi and to make them adept at using Hindi at various platforms.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Major Mahesh stressed the importance of Hindi as a major language of the world and the efforts made by the Government of India for advancement of the language in all corners of India. Mahesh further stated that Hindi is one of the identities of India and urged the students to love and learn the language with sincerity.

 

Major Mahesh, Commandant, 5th Assam Rifles, Chare, Tuensang Gave away the prizes to the winners of the various competitions which included story writing, painting, poster designing, solo song, extempore, quiz, skit, slogan writing, chutkule and poem composition.

 

Delivering the vote of thanks, Harish Kalita, Principal I/C while thanking the chief guest for gracing the occasion as well as the students for their enthusiastic participation in the various competitions, stated that learning Hindi is one of the basic step towards maintaining the integrity and unity of the country.

 

Other highlights of the programme included welcome song by class IX girls and presentation of popular Hindi songs by Master Longo (Class IX), Chunglly (Class IX), Master Litsase (Class X) and Master Khumlise (Class X).
