Mopungchuket Community Tourism Society (MCTS) will be organizing the annual Süngkotenem Angling Festival 2017 from August 12 onward at Süngkotenem Lake, Mopungchuket. The first day of the fest, August 12 Saturday will be “Competition Day” where the Biggest Catch and Second Biggest Catch winners will be awarded with cash prize and certificates. August 14-19 will be the “Süngkotenem Angling Week” while there will be “Süngkotenem weekend angling” on August 25-26 and September 1-2, 2017. Gates will open at 5:00 am on all days of the angling fest while entry tickets will be Rs.500 for the competition day and Rs.200 for all other days. Food cage will not be allowed and only two bait-casting rods will be allowed per angler, the organizers informed.
