SVEEP Kohima meeting discusses voters registration

Kohima, October 12 (MExN): Kohima District Core Committee for Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima on October 12.  

The meeting discussed on identifying dual registration of married women, identifying and enrolling oversea Indian citizens, identifying migrant labourers, delete dead electors, identifying eligible members of Persons with Disability (PWDs) for registration.  

AEO Kohima, Toshimeren informed that so far 506 members of PWDs have been identified.  

The meeting also deliberated on mapping of PWDs in the Electoral Roll and their accessibilities and facilities available on the polling day.  

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima Rajesh Soundararajan IAS during the meeting also launched the Signature Campaign on "Pledge to maintain clean Electoral Roll to facilitate free and fair Election.
