Swearing-in ceremony – car passes & traffic rule

Kohima, March 6 (MExN): In view of the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected government to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled to be held on March 8, 2018 at Kohima Local Ground (Khouchiezie) at 11:00 am, the office of the Superintendent of Police, Kohima has informed that different car passes will be issued and certain traffic rules will be imposed.   Car passes: Car Pass “A” (Red) for VVIPs – All vehicles will enter the venue and shall be parked at the North Basketball Court. Car Pass “B” (Blue) for Legislators/ Chief Secretary and Director General of Police – All vehicles will enter the venue and shall be parked at the designated parking towards Southern Gallery. Car Pass “C” (Green) for AHODs – All vehicles shall be parked at the designated parking from Post Office to Y-Junction. Car Pass “D” (Yellow) for HODs – All vehicles shall be parked at the designated parking at Old MLA Hostel. Car Pass “E” (Black) for NGOs/Public Leaders & Party Workers – All vehicles shall be parked at the designated parking from Phoolbari to LIC Office.   Traffic regulations: All buses ferrying public and party workers coming from the Northern side will be diverted to IG Stadium after dropping the delegates at Razhü Point, the SP office said in a press release.   All buses ferrying public and party workers coming from the Southern and Western side will be diverted to KMC Parking (Science College Road) after dropping the delegates at TCP Gate.   The stretch from Razhü Point to Main Gate AR Helipad has been declared a Reserve Parking Zone for single lane parking of owner driven light vehicles attending the programme.   No parking of vehicles will be allowed between the stretches from Box Cutting to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima via War Cemetery/TCP Gate.   The above regulations will be enforced from 8:00 am of March 8 till the completion of the swearing-in programme. In order to ensure smooth traffic management, the SP office has requested the general public to render cooperation with the traffic police and volunteers on duty.
