Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2019-20: Nagaland end campaign with loss to Odisha

The Nagaland men’s senior team which participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 17 (MExN): Odisha today beat Nagaland by 45 runs at the Men’s Senior Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy at Lalbhai Stadium, Suraj Gujarat. 

Nagaland won the toss and elected to field first. Odisha managed to score 149 runs in 20 overs losing 9 wickets. Subhransu with 42 runs and Abhishek with 36 runs were their top scorers. 

Stuart Binny and Imliwati for Nagaland picked up two wickets while Tahmeeed and Nagaho bagged one each. 

In response however, Nagaland were bowled out for 104 runs in 17 overs. Stuart Binny was Nagaland’s top scorer with 31 runs, followed by Yogesh who also score the same amount of runs. 

Meanwhile, Govinda and Pappu Roy claimed 3 wickets each, while Suryakant bagged 2 wickets. 

Nagaland ended the tournament with one win and six losses in its second year of participation at the trophy.
