Tangshang Naga students’ converge for general conference

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The Tangshang Naga Students’ Association (TNSA) held its second general conference in Nanyun Town, which is one of the three Naga Self-Administered Zone Townships in Sagaing Region, Myanmar. The conference was attended by Kay Saing, Chairman, Naga Self-Administered Zone (NSAZ) as chief guest and Tseing Maung as a special guest.  

A press release received here stated that NSAZ chairman urged the TNSA to give awareness campaign on the drug abuse in order to control the exploitation in the Tangshang Region. “TNSA is the right wing to bring social cultural transformation, education reformation and social harmony,” he said while appreciating the TNSA executives for leading the students and youths.  

Encouraging the students, Tseing Maung, Regional Hluttaw, Member of Parliament said that they are the future leaders and the owners of the future generation of the Tangshang Nagas as well as Nagas in general.  

President, Naga Students’ Organization (NSO), General Secretary, Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA), Chairman of the Naga Culture and Literature Committee from Nanyun, and others also delivered short speeches.  

During the conference, TNSA new office bearers for the next tenure were elected with president: Khämlan Binkhäm; Vice President: Yangring Hangmü; General Secretary: Thetän Kyülzdap; Information and publicity secretary: Mawwang Konjam; Finance Secretary: Yawcyawq Ängsa; Treasurer: Somo Chan Chanvaw; Women Affairs Secretary: Phunglanz Kesa. A Patron Board and Advisory Board were also elected.
