On being conferred the Best Performing VDB from Kiphire District by the Rural Development department recently, Tethuyo Village Council (TVC) organised the thanksgiving programme at the TVC chairman’s residence. The programme was attended by village elders, church leaders and students leaders.
Speaking at the programme, Y. Inthsenju, GB expressed appreciation towards the outgoing Village Council team for working with dedication and sincerity and bringing all round development in the village during their tenure. He urged upon the gathering to maintain the spirit of co-operation which has been the hallmark of Tethuyo Village.
Addressing the meeting on behalf of the outgoing team, A. Jurinmong, former chairmanTVC, thanked the citizens of Tethuyo Village for the support and co-operation. He maintained that development comes where there is unity and assured the incoming team of full support and cooperation in every endeavor.
Further, the TVC acknowledged the PDA government and Rural Development department for awarding Tethuyo Village under Longmatra Block as the Best Performing VDB from Kiphire district and also acknowledged for giving Tractor. The council also expressed gratitude towards the Agricultural Department, Kiphire for the Power Tiller provided to the Village under the Aspirational District Program.
The programme was chaired by Thsipongju Sangtam, Village Council Chairman.
