Mokokchung, April 29 (MExN): The Spearhead Motorsport Initiative (SMI), Mokokchung has informed that it will be organizing a motorsport event “Throttle Thrust 2” on May 2 and 3 at Longrangdang, Longmisa Village, Mokokchung in celebration of Moatsü festival. According to a press release from the organizers, the event will have three categories of competition – Cross country 4x4 (SUV), Sprint (Below 1300cc, Above 1300cc), and Autocross (Below 1300 cc, Above 1300c, SUV). Parliamentary Secretary Tourism, C. Apok Jamir, and Addl. Chief Secretary &Finance Commissioner, Temjen Toy, will be the Chief Guests on the first and the second day respectively. A total cash prize of up to Rs.2 lakhs along with trophies and certificates will be given away. Registration for the competition is open and forms can be collected from Autocare and Meren Workshop, Mokokchung.
