Match in action during the inter house volleyball championship. DIMAPUR, APRIL 20 (MExN): Inculcating the objectives of team spirit and camaraderie among the cadets of the school, an Inter House Volleyball Championship was conducted from April 9 to 19 for sub junior and junior category. After a junior category final already played, the final for sub junior category was played on 19 Apr 18 between Tizu House and Doyang House. Tizu defeated Doyang by two sets to Nil. In the final, Tizu dominated the match throughout and took full control on the game over their opponent and won by straight sets in a best of three games. Though Tizu House could win the Sub Junior category final, the championship title went to Melak house on the basis of overall points. Cdt Rohit Raj of Tizu emerged as best player in Sub-Junior category for his impressive performance. Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar,the Principal of the school graced the occasion as chief guest. He awarded certificates and medals to all the winners. The chief guest speaking to the young players stressed that they should learn from the experiences that they had in a big match like final as they are still in a learning stage and a novice. He also congratulated to all the players of different houses for their participation in the competition. Subsequently, an exhibition match was played between senior cadets and staff.
