Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The Concerned Chee Forum (CCF) held its second session cum sports meet at Sheanghah Tangten in Mon district from May 3 to 6 under the theme ‘Toil for Change’.
Participated by the five villages of S/Chingnyu, S/Tangten, S/Wamsa, S/Mokok, and S/Lokyo, the event saw the presence of P Pohwang Konyak, Advisor for Fire & Emergency, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation, Government of Nagaland.
According to a press release from CCF, Y Nockyam Wangnao, CCF president urged Pohwang to bring development in Phomching area as it is “left behind in every developmental work.”
A seminar on ‘Mushroom cultivation for additional income generation’ and ‘poultry production’ was also organized with Martha Chakruno, Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Entomology) and Dr. Paihem Michui, Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Animal Science), KVK Mon as resource persons. They distributed spawns for mushroom cultivation to the Self Help Groups (SHGs) of the villages.
The session also had panel discussion on the topic ‘Why governmental schemes & programs fail in our locality’ with Y Nockyam Wangnao, L Chingmei, P Mankhat, T Juying as the panelists.
On the last day, Yeihwang, pastor, 6th NAP shared words of God on the topic ‘Toil for Change’ and offered special prayer for students.
