TR assures Nagaland ‘a better tomorrow’

Kohima, July 24 (MExN): Chief Minister of Nagaland State, TR Zeliang, has appealed to the public of the State to “remain calm during this transition period of forming a new Government in the State.”

According to the CM’s open letter to the people, the government has come this far with the “support and cooperation” of the public. As his government prepares to enter “a new era of peace, progress and all round development,” Zeliang assured the people “a better tomorrow.”

“A better tomorrow where my Government will work towards all round development with renewed vigor based on Christian ethos and principles,” he affirmed while seeking forgiveness for any shortcomings on the part of the government. He also appealed for ‘trust’ which, he noted, is the “essence of good governance.”

“I express my deepest appreciation and gratitude on behalf of the Government for the faith reposed on me and my Government once again and as we undertake this journey towards a better tomorrow, I seek your support, cooperation and prayers to move towards greater heights because the responsibility for good Governance does not lie with the Government alone but with all section of the Society including the Church, Media, Non-Governmental Organizations and most importantly, the general Public,” the CM said.
