TR Ministry expanded, 9 Advisors 26 Parliamentary Secy’s inducted

Nine Advisors and 26 Parliamentary Secretaries were sworn in today under the newly formed ministry headed by Nagaland State Chief Minister, TR Zeliang.  

Zeliang administered the oath to the newly inducted Advisors and Parliamentary Secretaries here at the State Banquet Hall in Kohima.  

The nine legislators inducted as Advisors include CM Chang, Deo Nukhu, Naiba Konyak, Noke Wangnao, Nuklutoshi, Pukhayi Sumi, SI Jamir, S Pangyu Phom and Dr. TM Lotha.  

The 26 newly inducted Parliamentary Secretaries include Amenba Yaden, BS Nganglang, Dr Benjongliba, C Apok Jamir, Eshak Konyak, Hukavi Zhimomi, Imtikumzuk, Khekaho Assumi, Er Kropol Vitsu, L Khumo, Er Levi Rengma, Dr Longriniken, Merentoshi R Jamir, N Thomas Lotha, Namri Nchang, Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, P Paiwang Konyak, Er Picto Shohe, Pohwang Konyak, Shetoyi Sumi, S Chuba Longkumer, Tovihoto Ayemi, Toyang Chang, Vikho-o Yhoshu, YM Yollow and Zhaleo Rio.  

Of the 9 Advisors inducted, 8 are from the NPF, while 1 is from the BJP. Meanwhile the 26 Parliamentary Secretaries inducted include 7 independents, 1 from the BJP and 18 from the NPF.  

Chief Secretary, Nagaland, Pankaj Kumar IAS initiated the oath taking ceremony which was witnessed by Cabinet Ministers, HoDs, bureaucrats and party workers.  

Portfolios yet to be allocated

Speaking to media persons after swearing in ceremony, Chief Minister TR Zeliang said that portfolios will be allocated to the Council of Ministers, Advisors and Parliamentary Secretaries within a day or two.  

Regarding the newly inducted Advisors, the Chief Minister informed that all would not be in the rank of cabinet, adding that seniority will be taken into account for cabinet rank.
