Kohima, February 11 (MExN): One day training on capacity building of VHC/ANM/HCMC under communitization was held on February 10 at PMTI Kohima. The inaugural function was said to be chaired by CMO Kohima, Dr. L. Ralte, where a short review was review was done on the achievements and community participation since the inception of communitization.
Dr. G. Kemp, exhorted the participants present and encouraged the community to be more participative. Deputy CMO Kohima, Dr. Avino Kire, sensitized the VHC and HCMC members on their roles and responsibilities with special references to communitization while Abenla, deputy director (Nursing) and T.Asüno, DPHNO Kohima sensitized the ANMs on their role and responsibilities and ethics. Two resolutions were also made during the training: to ensure full immunization of all 0-5 children under their jurisdiction by periodical checking of immunization cards and registers, to strengthen village health and nutrition day to create awareness on prevention of disease such as TB, Malaria etc.
