Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): A two-day training for car dealers on Vahan 4.0 services got underway at District Transport Office, ISTT Complex, 7th mile, Dimapur on August 30.
DIPR stated in a report that Technical Director & Transport Project Co-ordinator, National Informatics Centre, Nagaland, Lanusungkum Aier, while giving the introduction to modules during the inaugural session, said that Vahan 4.0 is a standardized software which was developed in order to automate the District Transport Office operations related to vehicle registration taxation and issuing of permits etc.
He said the launching of Vahan 4.0 enables to provide quality services to the people as well as government and dealers, since there will be one single database for the whole country and there will be ease of data sharing which will minimise issues arise due to database manipulation, accountability of all transaction and transparency. He further briefed the gathering on the role and responsibility of dealers related to temporary registration certificates.
Participants will be trained on online payment and Dealer Point Entry. The inaugural session was chaired by RTO, Dimapur, Lovikali Yepthomi.
