Training on GST for government officials in Kohima

Kohima, October 11 (MExN): The Finance Department through a Circular has informed that the following training programmes will be conducted on October 13 from 10:00 am onwards at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima to clarify and train government servants on the new systems on: Tax Awareness Programme on ITS/TCS for Government deductors; Sensitization Programme/Workshop on TDS & GST for the Departments.  

The morning session will cover the first Programme which will be conducted by the Commissionerate of Income Tax (TDS), NER, Guwahati in association with Centralised Processing Cell (TDS) Ghaziabad.  

The evening session will cover the second programme which will be conducted by the Commissioner, CGST, Nagaland and the Commissioner of State Taxes, Nagaland.   All AHODs/HODs have been requested to ensure that the training programme is attended by their DDOs, Cashiers/Accountants and Treasury Officers.  

Registration will start at 9:30 am. Participants may bring the following documents for hands-on registration: TAN or PAN in the name of the Department, PAN & passport photo of DDO and Authorisation letter of Department for the DDO.  

State Level Monitoring Cell for GST constituted

The Finance Department in a notification stated that in order to monitor the implementation of the GST in the State, a State Level Monitoring Cell is hereby constituted comprising of the following members: Chief Secretary-Chairman; members include Addl. Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Principal Accountant General (A & E) Nagaland, Commissioner, CGST, Nagaland, Commissioner & Secretary, IT & C, Secretary, Justice & Law, Principal Director, Treasuries & Accounts, Director, Information & Public Relations, Officer on Special Duty (Finance); and Commissioner of State Taxes as Member Secretary.   The State Level Monitoring Cell shall meet monthly or as decided by the Chairman.
