Training held on homestays & guest houses

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): The North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) is supporting Dzuleke, Thanamir and Fakim villages to develop their respective villages as model eco-tourism destinations.  

One of the activities under the initiative is promotion of homestays and community lodges for tourists visiting the villages. To prepare the community to host guests, a two-day practical training in collaboration with Hotel Ariel, Kohima was conducted on managing homestays and guest houses. It focused on professionalism, sanitation, housekeeping and hospitality, according to a press release.  

Altogether, five master trainers from the three villages attended the training. Hotel Ariel contributed towards the training by hosting the trainees and providing the hands on training.
