Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): The Rongmei Baptist Association Nagaland (RBAN) attended the livelihood programme of piggery rearing with vegetable farming under TATA supported programme of New Jalukie, Samziuram and Nkwareu villages under Jalukie, Peren District.
RBAN expressed gratitude to the specialized doctors and technical expert team from KVK Dimapur and ICAR Nagaland Centre, Medziphema, the experts includes Dr. Mahak Singh (Scientist, Animal Reproduction and Gynaecology, Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie (Asst. Chief Technical Officer), Dr. Talimoa Mollier (Research Associate) and Leibou Pienyu (VFA) and staff of ICAR for their tremendous and tireless services rendered to the women SHG members and beneficiaries.
RBAN in a press release informed that during the programme, 31 trainees attended the two-days training on pig breeding through Artificial Insemination (AI). The organization is also grateful to TATA Trusts and Alliance for co-sponsoring the exposure cum training on pig breeding through AI.
The doctor team imparted knowledge and the techniques of AI on pig breeding in scientific pig production system, training on use of common tools, equipments and chemicals used during AI also on boar training, demonstration on semen collection, processing of semen and insemination on pigs in heat.
Experts shared the benefits and possibilities of the system in the area where it can be practice. The organisation also hoped and encourages that the technique learnt will be much helpful and beneficial in their livestock rearing. It appeals to inculcate the new breeding system of AI as a pilot breeding system in their respective community and region.
