Dimapur, July 15 (MExN): Graduation cum parents’ meet of TRGU Vocational Training Centre (TVTC) was held on July 14 at the Centre located in Padumpukhri, Dimapur.
A press release from the centre stated that the speaker, Rev Katie Longkumer spoke to the trainees about the need to realize and build the inherent potential in each of them to be a good professional. She shared on how one should be faithful to God, as they face the good days or bad days. Rev Katie further spoke on the present scenario of employment and urged the trainees to take the training seriously and to stand on their own feet. She also appreciated the TGRU Vocational Training Centre on giving such quality training to the youths.
Alienla Jamir, proprietor of TVTC in her speech congratulated the successful candidates. She spoke on the courses offered by the training centre in the domain of cutting and tailoring, fashion designing of industrial sewing machine operator, hobby course, food processing to poorer women specially widows, drop-out students, housewives, and unemployed youth, providing basic skills to empower them to earn their livelihood through self employment.
A short work experience was shared by Sukla Dey, Fashion Instructor under TVTC. She is also one of the former trainees who started her own institute in Dimapur under TRGU Vocational Training Centre.
The Fashion Designing of Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (FDISMO) trainees presented songs, while Akhrienuo, Centre Co-ordinator cum Instructor of FDISMO said the opening prayer and vote of thanks. A number of trainees’ parents attended the function.
