KOHIMA, APRIL 7 (MExN): The Annual Sports Meet of Trinity School, Kohima was held from April 3-5. A press release issued by the school headmaster informed that both outdoor and indoor competitive events were held.
The said that Rajeev Dong (Wing Commander), Director, Rajya Sainik Board and Thepfuzakie Suohu, President, T. Khel Gazetted Officers’ Association attended the Opening Ceremony as the chief guest and the guest of honour, respectively.
The release said that Dong exhorted the students to take pride in participation while upholding the spirit of sportsmanship. He urged the students to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination. Citing his own experiences, he said, as a young boy he was dissuaded from pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot. Despite the dissuasion, he said that he prevailed to prove the dissuaders wrong.
The release added that drill display was presented by students of Class 4 & 5. The meet was jointly declared ‘open’ by the chief guest and the guest of honour, it added.
