Tuli runs for Clean Election

Mokokchung, January 7 (MExN): The 3rd edition of the Tuli Marathon 2017 organized by the District Administration of Tuli Sub-division in association with the Langpankong Katketshir Mungdang Clean Election Campaign Committee was flagged off by Tuli Additional Deputy Commissioner Sentiwapang Aier on Friday.  

The open marathon race held on the theme “My Vote, My Rights” was participated by 40 enthusiastic participants, a press release informed. The race commenced from Tinali Junction via Tzudikong and culminated at Tuliyong Ward.  The race was divided into two segments 14 kilometers for men and seven kilometers for female.  

Cash prizes of Rs. 10000, 7000 and 5000 were awarded to the first, second and third respectively for both men and women.  

Coinciding with the 3rd edition of Tuli Marathon 2017 programme, Tuli Inter Ward Relay Cake Race was also held. During the formal programme, a short speech was tendered by R Bendang Yaden, Convener of LKM Clean Election Campaign.
