Phek, December 16 (MExN): Thipüzu Youth Organisation (TYO) 34th Sports Meet was held from December 12-15 at Thipüzu local ground with Dr V Thingo as its special guest.
Speaking to the youths, he lauded the youth community for undertaking such sports week for all-round physical and mental development in a spirit of healthy competition.
Dr V Thingo urged the youths to take up various challenges and responsibility for the village.
Pointing that, there are conventional and non-conventional sports, including conventional games like football, volleyball, jumps, race and non-conventional ones like archery, rifle shooting, pistol shooting, he called the youths to take up non-conventional sports too. “Choose where your talent is, and use it professionally in your life”, he asserted.
He impressed the youth to maintain the past glory of the village and take up responsibility and build leadership qualities with unity.
Dr Thingo further challenged the youth to take up various projects like tourism, herbal farming and other rural level development for the benefit of rural areas as there is good prospect.
Guest of Honour Sekhosa Chüzho distributed prizes to the winners. Earlier Küvezo Tetseo, GS chaired the meeting.
