U-23 Men’s One Day league: Nagaland defeat Meghalaya

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): Nagaland today defeated Meghalaya by a huge margin of 122 runs during their Plate Group encounter of the ongoing U-23 Men’s One Day League in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.


Earlier, Nagaland captain, Nagaho Chishi won the toss and elected to bat. The team put-up a total of 261/9 in 50 overs.


Kshitiz topped the score with 51 runs, while Vinayak, Arpit and Tanay followed closely with 43, 45 and 46 respectively.


In reply, Meghalaya were bowled out for 139 in 39 overs, thereby conceding the match with 122 runs still on target. For Nagaland, Arvind and Akavi Yeptho took 4 wickets each.


From two matches, Nagaland so far has one win and one loss after losing their opening encounter against Bihar.


Nagaland will play Sikkim next on February 17.
