Unified Juniors win 1st Peli Sekrenyi penalty shoot-out

The champion Unified Juniors and runner-up team Peli No 15(C) with organizers.

Unified Juniors team emerged the champion of the 1st Peli Sekrenyi penalty shoot-out held here today at TM School Ground under the aegis of Peli No. 15, L. Khel, Kohima Village.

With this win, Unified Juniors pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 sponsored by Thinuokhrielie Yaotsu and running trophy sponsored by Ruokuosezo Vizo. 

Peli No 15(C) stood runner-up and received a cash prize of Rs. 7000 sponsored by Kelhouneizo Yhome.

Dziesekhrielie Tseikha of Unified Juniors bagged the best goal keeper title and awarded with Rs. 2000 sponsored by Neirheituolie Vizo and Kepelhoutuo Yhome.

Altogether, 32 teams joined the tournament.

Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by Khriesazo Liezietsu while short speech was delivered by Lhisemia Youth Organization (LYO) general secretary Kekhrielelie Tseikha. 

Neingusalie Khruomo compered the proceedings of  tournament while vote of thanks was proposed by Viketoulie Linyü. 

According to the organizer, this tournament will now become an annual feature.
